Quelques mots sur artprice , le site d’enchères en ligne où je m’emploie à faire connaitre mon travail. Jusqu’au 14 et 18 septembre y sont proposés aux enchères cinq tableaux , mis à prix entre 399 euros et 999 euros. Pour les internautes qui y trouveraient leur intérêt , je leur conseille de se rendre directement sur ma page d’accueil artprice, afin d’enchérir à leur guise.
Après la fastidieuse peinture « la mort d’abel » (voir plus bas), je n’avais pas l’envie de me lancer dans une création qui augurerait un aussi long travail de peinture. En effet « la mort d’abel » a été peinte , par intermittence, sur une période de quatre mois, essentiellement au pinceau « zéro », et si cela était un vif plaisir que celui de s’attaquer à la peinture d’un site aussi grandiose , peindre les « rocheuses » ou le « grand canyon » a été également une sorte de torture psychologique, dans la mesure où ne réussissant pas à disposer d’une force de travail à la hauteur de la tache à accomplir, je me retrouvais face à ma toile, presque désappointé devant un paysage qui n’avançait que centimètre carré par centimètre carré, sans qu’aucune ressource vitale , ou force intérieure me permit de peindre plus de 3 heures d’affilé, ce qui en d’autre circonstance est une moyenne de travail que tous peintres atteignent facilement.
A vrai dire en commençant ce nouveau tableau, j’étais animé par le vif souci de peindre sur une séance voir deux l’essentiel de mon sujet, en restreignant à deux, voir trois le nombre de couleur à employer.Il me semblait nécessaire que le geste soit sûr, instinctif , précis et rapide , de telle sorte que ce travail puisse être comparé à la peinture à l’encre de chine des maitres japonais et chinois, dont la souplesse et la certitude du geste caractérise l’art. Disposant d’un panneau de bois de couleur noir , l’emploi du blanc plus ou moins dilué selon les effets à rendre, me parut propre à satisfaire ce désir. Et « le meurtre d’Abel », vit le jour, en une séance, ne me restant plus qu’ à peindre en guise de ciel , une nuit étoilée qui rendrait compte de l’instant fatidique où ABEL est victime de la colère de CAin. Le flash de l’appareil photo la recouvre de lumière, mais il y a bien une flèche dont la pointe qui sort du torse d’Abel, sera rehaussée de rouge , afin de bien souligner l’évènement dont le spectateur est le témoin.
Le dernier tableau sur lequel je travaille sera différent de la série que j’ai peinte depuis quelques mois, il y sera question de post-cubisme , ou plus exactement de produire une figuration imbriquée dans un fond abstrait , et si possible révélant une composition de type fractale. A cette fin , j’ai entamé l’esquisse avec une série de forme géométrique, cercles et carré, sur lesquels j’ai tracé le motif du tableau normalement, en situant les deux personnages, ABEL et CAIN à chaque extrémité du cadre et séparé par l’esquisse d’une lionne , nonchalamment allongée sur une pierre entre eux deux.
Avant de présenter l’esquisse, je signale pour les férus de peinture, que lors de l’exposition de son travail à Beaubourg , j’ai rencontré le célèbre peintre français Martial Raysse, dont le musée parisien donne à voir une rétrospective de son oeuvre. L’homme est trés affable, alerte et conscient de ce qu’implique son travail. Je lui dit être surpris de découvrir un artiste contemporain aussi attaché qu’il semble l’être, à la création d’oeuvre essentiellement peinte à la main, cette démarche , et il en convient facilement, me semble devenue rare. Or toute la production récente de Martial Raysse est un hymne à la peinture, presque un pied de nez à la tendance contemporaine. Les peintures monumentales qui closent l’exposition s’impose au spectateur comme une recherche picturale inscrite dans lignée des recherches de la grande peinture : vous m’impressionnez monsieur Raysse, dis-je. Lui de continuer : » il est nécessaire de peindre fin, c’est le secret ». Moi : » voilà justement ce que je m’emploie à faire : peindre le plus finement possible ! Je crois à un retour prochain aux valeurs et expérimentations de la peinture. Le marché ne peut demeurer tel qu’il est … »Et Martial Raysse de conclure : » c’est bien. Il faut continuer. On va gagner ! On va gagner ! »

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said « You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear. » She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
